Bharati Vidyapeeth:
The parent body of the renowned Bharati Vidyapeeth University is the Bharati Vidyapeeth which was instigated by a 19 year old Dr Patangrao Kadam way back in 1964. One of the largest networks of educational institutions in India, the Bharati Vidyapeeth today can boast of 140 educational institutions of various kinds.

The Bharati Vidyapeeth University offers many state/central government/UGC and AICTE approved course. Equipped with an educational autonomy, the university keeps revising the syllabi and course structures every two years, thus paving the way for a number of new, innovative degrees, diploma and certificate programmes. Restructuring of its academic programmes and modifications in the evaluation system have been brought about with a view to tune them to the changing needs of the society. The university has been operating three different institutions exclusively for the purpose of research, namely the Interactive Research School for Health Affairs; the Yashwantrao Chawan Institute of Social Sciences & Research and the Research and Development Center in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Applied Chemistry.
Bharati Vidyapeeth comprises seventeen institutions, five of which are related to medical science disciplines like Allopathic Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurved, Homeopathy and Nursing. The list of institutions approved by their respective statutory councils functional in the campus of the universityis is defined above.
