College of Nursing is one of the Departments of the Armed Forces Medical College at Pune established in the year 1964. The establishment of a college of Nursing was a landmark in the history of Military Nursing service as this institution is only one of its kinds in the armed forces set up in India. College of Nursing earlier was a School of Nursing at the Military Hospital Pune which was up graded in 1964 to its present status.

Duration: 4 years,Intake: 50 students per year. Eligibility:

• The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.
• The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of: Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course)
  Or
• Senior School certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examination (10+2)
  Or
• An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university With Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE).

Programs Offered: Post Basic B.Sc NursingDuration: 2 Years, Intake: 20 students per year,Eligibility: Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.

Acquired a certificate in General nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas: O.T. Techniques/ Ophthalmic Nursing / Leprosy Nursing / TB Nursing / Psychiatric Nursing / Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing / Community Health Nursing / Cancer Nursing / Orthopedic Nursing.
